Having so much fun watching the new X-Men 97 cartoon episodes I’ve been sketching a lot of the characters. Here’s some fun fan art!

I have always been a Keanu Reeves fan and really enjoyed all the John Wick movies. I drew some sketches of John Wick in a simplified, cartoony style and it really blew up on my Instagram account. After receiving so much praise for the design I decided to move forward and see how it would look as an actual stylized figure. These photos show a painted prototype of the cold blooded killer. I have also attached some of my original concept art and pantone color guide.

This was a fun project to work because I am fan of Hip Hop music. I got to collaborate with Eyes and Mike Shoe on branding superstar rapper, Domo G, in cartoon character form. Domo was extremely fun to work with and knew exactly what he wanted. He is a fan of the old Popeye cartoons and wanted to be simplified in similar fashion. I jumped at the opportunity and was really happy with how everything turned out. They used my design work branding his products and even made merch for his concerts!

I really enjoyed WandaVision! My favorite episode is the Halloween episode when they wear their classic comic book outfits. Tried something different with this piece sketching it digitally, then inking and coloring it traditionally, to finalizing it back digitally. I tried to use a lot of W’s and V’s hidden secretly in both the characters.
Wearable Replica Mega Man Helmet.

My first custom made action figure debuted at Designer Con 2017. I worked all year with my good friend and Rad Retro Power teammate, Nerdy Chavez. We wanted to create our own 80s/90s style action figure that captured the essence of our favorite toys we grew up with but also wanted it to have a mainstream quality to it.
Both of us being fans of Michael Jackson wanted to pay tribute to the King of Pop and also throw in some fun, creative 80s tidbits that spawned from our imaginations. We imagined a universe where Michael was this big, buff bodied hero similar to He-Man or Lion-O but also possessed items unique to the 80s era. So we gave him a Nintendo Power Glove we call his, "Power Gauntlet." We also wanted him to have a futuristic weapon he would carry so we designed a space blaster similar to the Laser Tag guns we played with as kids. Lastly we had to give him his iconic white glove.
The figure was sculpted by my pal, the amazing, May Thamtarana.
Hand painting each figure and helping us complete everything was done by our good friend, Lando Wilkins aka Uncle Skro.
In the end I couldn't be more excited with the outcome and feedback of Captain Jaxon. I created two version of the figure, deluxe and standard. The deluxe version came in a closed box packaging with alternate arm accessories and high impact foam cushioning. The standard version comes with the Captain wearing the power gauntlet and a rad retro power token! Also packaged in a resealable blister card!

Graphic design work over real photos. I created these two illustrations over photos taken of Director/Social Media Influencer, Wuz Good. These images were created for Funimation to help promote the release of the new movie, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising.
Highly detailed 1/6 scale resin statue of Koei Tecmo's lead Ninja Gaiden character, Ryu Hayabusa. I really enjoyed working on this project and I think the overall vibe of the statue turned out well. We added small LEDs in the base to create mood lighting to depict the bloody battle scene. I even was able to travel to the overseas factories in China to do some QC on the production line. I had a great time getting hands on with the entire mold and casting process as well as overseeing the paint job.

I’ve always been a fan of comics from the 70s/80s. I wanted to recreate some of my favorite retro heroes while trying to capture a bit of realism through paint.
Dr. Strange, Werewolf By Night, Tony Stark/Iron Man
I grew up a fan of action movies and constantly watching them on VHS. I loved collecting tapes and studying all the great artwork that was featured on the front and back. I created this custom VHS tape to try and capture the nostalgic feeling of getting a hold of your favorite action movie on VHS. John Wick would have been the perfect movie to own on VHS with some awesome cover art.

The WandaVision show was particularly enjoyable for me since I grew up watch many sitcoms. I loved the 80s and 90s era episodes! Agatha’s look in the 80s was my favorite for her character. Kathryn Hahn makes the character a lot of fun to watch. Not to mention she has the catchiest theme song! “It was Agatha All Along!”
Marvel Studios recently announced at San Diego Comic Con that Mahershala Ali will be playing the new Blade. I have always been a Blade fan and loved Wesley Snipe’s portrayal of him. I am looking forward to this new Blade and wanted to create my own version based off of the 90s comic book outfit and throw in some hints of Wesley’s Blade accessories while adding Mahershala’s likeness.
Superstar barber, Shafic Tayara. has his own salon and clothing brand, FBN. He was planning on collaborating with his local donut shop, Moon Donuts, to put together some exclusive shirts and merch to sell both at the salon and donut shop. I was hired to design the overall look and feel of the exclusive product drop.
I was directed to use the current FBN logo and incorporate it with some fun cartoony, retro donut designs. At the time, Moon Donut shop did not have an up to date logo or marketing tools so I took the liberty of designing a fresh new outlook for the donut shop. I stylized a promotional poster and created marketing materials which included stickers, buttons, and apparel. The event was a success with all the merchandise selling out over the first few days of the initial release.
I loved The Mandalorian season 2! So much I got inspired to stylize a lot of the characters in an animated style. Hope you all enjoy!
I have always been a fan of Star Wars. Especially growing up re-watching the original trilogy over and over again on VHS. I recently went to Disneyland Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge and got inspired to create a poster with a lot of the new characters! I had fun laying this out and spending time on each character and detail!
I love the movie, “Nacho Libre.” I recently got inspired to create some designs as if it were a fun Saturday morning cartoon! More characters to join this line up soon!
I designed and managed this project with the help of the Multiverse Studio team. I was excited being able to add my own art style to an official licensed CAPCOM product.

One of my favorite Disney classic cartoons has always been Peter Pan. As a kid I thought he was so cool being able to fly, being so care free, and able to lead the Lost Boys to fight pirates. I created this illustration with a bit of a different approach from my usual work. I tried to capture so watercolor brush techniques for the background and use interesting colorways to portray the night sky.

John Wick, The Animated Series!
SKIP TO MY LOU! My favorite basketball player of all time, Rafer Alston.
I started watching Skip when he came to my hometown from Rucker Park and started playing at Fresno City College then at Fresno State. My dad and I would look forward to game day at Selland Arena and go early just to watch Skip warm up. His creativity on the court was something I had never seen before as a kid. He wasn’t all show though, Skip could run a team and be the strongest defender on the court. After breaking everyone’s ankles in college he got drafted to the NBA where I followed him throughout his career. .
I wore number 11 from jr high to high school to college because of Skip. I think I’ll draw more poses of him in action and put together a full character design sheet! Hope you like the cartoon version of you Skip! (@officialrafer_alston) .
John Wick is one of my favorite movie series. I was curious to see what a John Wick animated series would look like so I decided to draw some stylized images of him along with facial expressions. I plan on diving further into this animated John Wick world in the future!

The Lost Boys has always been one of my favorite movies. I watched it all the time growing up. I wanted to add Michael Emerson to my line up of model sheets I had been working on. Especially once I heard he would be making an appearance at Monsterpalooza. I had a booth at Monsterpalooza and was able to step away to meet actor Jason Patric and have him autograph my print. So cool!
Digital illustration created for Fandango website to celebrate Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's movie marathon
I can remember watching Thriller on VHS tape as a kid. I would be so scared but also so amazed at the same time. I specifically remember telling myself to be brave and make it through Michael dancing as the zombie and then I can see him regular again to sing the chorus. Once I got to that part I felt relieved?
The Mandalorian on Disney Plus is one of my favorite shows of all time! It has a space western vibe with a hint of Lone Wolf and Cub, a dash of Seven Samurai, and a lot of Star Wars goodness. I loved every episode of season 1 and I am looking forward to season 2! I can’t wait to find time to draw more Mando and the child!

Easily one of my top 3 favorite films of all time, DRIVE was another must for me to try and turn into an animated series. I can see a really neon and fun looking nightlife environment that goes along with this stylized character. Hopefully I will have time to add more to these concepts soon!
